Sow Much Good Used as a Tip for Ignite Charlotte
On Sept. 25, Jenifer Daniels (@thefriendraiser) gave the audience at Ignite Charlotte five tips on how to change your community. Her first tip was to “Fill A Need.” She used Robin Emmons of Sow Much Good as an example to describe the tip. Robin saw over 73,000 people in Mecklenburg County living in food deserts and decided to do something about it. She created an organization to provide chemical free food to under-served populations. Check out Jenifer and the other tips by watching the video below or visiting www.thefriendraiser.com.
Sow Much Good, Inc. is an organization founded by community leader, Robin Emmons. The advocate, activist and farmer developed the Charlotte nonprofit that connects communities to increase access, awareness, solutions and education relative to the link between our environment, health disparities and nutrition. Sow Much Good seeks to help the 73,000 people living in urban food deserts by way of organic farm stands and workshop teaching alternative ways to prepare foods.
